Most of our funding comes from the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) through the National Research Priorities (NPRP) and the Undergraduate Research Experience (UREP) Programs.

  • 2017-2018: UREP 19, “Simulation of charged particle detectors for future upgrades of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider”, 1 year, involving 4 students.
  • 2016-2019: NPRP Cycle 9, “The Experimental High Energy Physics Program”, 3 years.
  • 2015-2016: UREP17, “Monte Carlo Study of a Clinical PET using the GATE software”, involving 2 students
  • 2014-2015: UREP16: “Investigation of the performances of the Gas Electron Multiplier for collider experiments”, involving 3 students
  • 2013-2014: UREP14, “Uniformity studies in Gas Electron Multiplier based detectors”, 1 year, involving 3 students
  • 2013-2014: Internal grant, “Starting a program on Positron Emission Tomography Modeling”
